Among the HDTVs we’ve reviewed, UNC8000 series is the first 3D TV, the first LCD-based LED on the board informed local dimming, and the first example of applications for the platform Samsung TV. Company has the best LCD picture quality specs 2010, packages with more features than ever, and still manages to be measured just under an inch thick. As you can imagine, is not cheap.
The verdict? We were not able to compare to any other UNC8000 Samsung 3D TV in the laboratory, and until we do, our assessment is more of a notice warning against drug allergies. That said, in 3D on your TV (with this firmware version), but certainly a demonstration of impressive technology, will not satisfy videophiles, and sometimes we hurt the heart. Take 2D Blu-ray for now, thank you, even if we are interested to see how 3D nonanimated Blu-ray content is seen in this unit.
Speaking of comparisons, in 2D mode UNC8000 trouble keeping the best local dimming LCD televisions based on LEDs available, but it has the edge illuminated by crown now.
